Ceramic beads, zirconium oxide, cerium or yttrium stabilized
Cerium and yttrium stabilized zirconium oxide milling beads are recommended for optimum milling performance. Glass and zirconium silicate beads are used but are less efficient, wear faster and are more likely to break.
With a high bulk weight cerium and yttrium stabilized ceramic beads have a high kinetic energy and good dispersion efficiency. They have much longer working life and a high resistance to breaking.
