Emulsion paints
Emulsion paints are mostly thin-liquid coatings whose binders are dispersed in water. In the general sense, this term applies to the majority of liquid coatings. Therefore, emulsion paints include varnishes, glazes and paints for inside and outside surfaces. The applicable binders, such as acrylics, synthetic resin or linseed oils, are not water-soluble. After the water has evaporated, they, together with color pigments, form the actual coating on the substrate. Additional additives can influence, improve and change technical properties of an emulsion paint.
