Carbon black (rCB)
Carbon black is a material containing 99.5% carbon. CB features the high surface-to-volume ratio. This makes it a popular black pigment. A disadvantage, however, is that CB is difficult to wet. An alternative to CB is recovered carbon black (rCB). rCB is produced by recycling worn tires through pyrolysis. With the DISPERMAT® series of VMA-Getzmann, you can overcome the challenge of wetting the particle surface.
